Donate Food to the Co-op

Every month, Anchor Church collects a different food item for the Southeast Gwinnett Cooperative Ministry. Throughout December & January we’ve been asked to collect PASTA SAUCE. Let’s practice generosity by adding this item to our grocery carts this month. Then, bring it with you to worship and place it in the blue collection bins near the front door. Thank you, Anchor Church, for loving and serving hungry people in our community!

Rooted Kickoff Night

Get Connected

Rooted is a 10 week small group discipleship experience that helps you connect in deeper relationship with God, the church, and your purpose. The cost is $25 per person. The experience includes 5 daily devotions per week, a couple of meal along the way, a prayer experience, serve experience, and more! Rooted is THE first step in discipleship at Anchor Church. Once the 10 weeks of Rooted are complete your group will become a discipleship group.

We’ll gather at 6PM on Monday night, September 23 at Anchor Church. Pizza will be provided. Childcare will be provided upon request. Your group will meet in a host home weekly on Sunday evenings after the first week.

Through the Rooted experience, God invites you back into the earliest pages and story of the church. You can expect to pursue an experience based on that church in Acts 2. Look at how the Bible describes that community:

They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching, to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread, and to prayer. Everyone was filled with awe, and many wonders and signs were being performed through the apostles. Now all the believers were together and held all things in common. They sold their possessions and property and distributed the proceeds to all, as any had need. Every day they devoted themselves to meeting together in the temple, and broke bread from house to house. They ate their food with joyful and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. Every day the Lord added to their number those who were being saved

(Acts 2:42-47 CSB).

This paragraph shows off the beauty of the early church. The Rooted experience connects you to the adventure of this world-changing community of Jesus. It will connect you in at least three ways.

Going through Rooted helps connect you in deeper relationship with God, the church, and your disciple making purpose.

SERVE DAY: Spring Clean & Campus Refresh

The church is having a huge clean out on Saturday, March 2 from 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM.  We need to clear space for it to be used to further God's kingdom!

All members and attenders are invited to come help! We’ve got many years of old and unused things cluttering our buildings… in the attic, portables, behind the curtain in the worship center, and in closets. We’re encouraging all hands on deck to refresh our campus in preparation for Easter.

Skip's hot dogs has graciously offered lunch for everyone!  We encourage you to bring camp chairs as no other seating will be available outside.

If you haven't already signed up to work on March 2 through your discipleship group or you are not in a group, you can sign up using the button below. Signing up is very important for planning before the event.

If you have any questions beyond this email, you may direct them to Karen Palomar (704-238-3857) or karenwpalomar@gmail.com.
