We’re a family of disciples on mission to glorify the Father by making disciples who know, love, and serve Christ in the power of the Holy Spirit.

In Matthew 28:19-20 Jesus give us this mission saying: “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you.”

There is a lot in these verses but most importantly this is the commission Jesus gave to every single follower of Jesus. As a Christian, this is your purpose; and at Anchor we want to help you be a disciple that makes disciples.

Anchor’s Core Values

In the fall of 2021 we explored the values of an unstoppable church found in Acts 1 and 2. Over the last couple of years we’ve set them as guide posts for our Church. In the series we learned that an unstoppable church is a 1) Kingdom Focused, 2) Christ Following, 3) Spirit Led, 4) Gospel Proclaiming, 5) Disciple-Making Church.

  • Kingdom-Focused

    Jesus is King and His kingdom is preeminent. As a church we work to make His eternal kingdom visible in the world. This includes bringing all peoples into a church characterized by love, grace, restoration, and reconciliation.

  • Christ-Following

    Jesus is our friend and example as we walk in His way, truth, and life. We relate to Him and learn how to live like Him through study of the Scriptures. We embrace the rhythm of taking in God’s revelation & responding in repentance. 

  • Spirit-Led

    The Holy Spirit leads and empowers the Church. We humbly submit to Spirit’s work as we seek to follow in the way, truth and life of Jesus. We prioritize prayer in our lives, gatherings, and decisions. Prayer and fasting are normal and regular activities.

  • Gospel-Proclaiming

    The Gospel is the central message of our Church. Through preaching, teaching, and personal evangelism we proclaim the Gospel calling sinners to faith and repentance, and followers of Jesus to be formed by the Gospel message of grace.

  • Disciple-Making

    Every disciple of Jesus is called to make disciples. Our ministries are designed to equip and empower ordinary followers of Jesus to go into the world, reach the lost, baptize new converts, and teach them walk the way of Jesus.
