This week, we looked at Jonah 1:4-6, where God sends a storm in response to Jonah’s disobedience. This storm was a deliberate act of God’s relentless grace, designed to awaken Jonah to His presence and purposes.

This past Sunday, we kicked off our new sermon series, “Relentless Grace: Jonah’s Story and God’s Mercy,” by diving into the opening verses of Jonah. As we explored Jonah 1:1-3, we reflected on the ways God’s call can disrupt our comfort and expose the true condition of our hearts.

Our journey through Romans 12 highlighted the transformative power of the Gospel in our lives and how it shapes our community. When we are rooted in the Gospel, every aspect of our lives—our thoughts, actions, and relationships—is profoundly impacted by the truth of who Jesus is and what He has done for us.

Acts 13:1-3 shows how the church at Antioch engaged their community while being open to the Holy Spirit’s guidance. God called Paul and Barnabas to take the message beyond their local context. The sending was a communal effort involving worship, fasting, and prayer. Antioch models a twofold calling: to be a missional presence in our neighborhoods and to support those God calls to new places.

Our mission as God’s family is to be Spirit-led disciple-makers, embracing and living out the Great Commission in every part of our lives. As part of our exploration of Acts 8:26-40, we considered four main truths.
