Anchor’s Current Schedule

  • We meet in person and online for worship at 10:30 am.

  • Preschool, Children, Students and Adults are meeting in small groups on Sunday at 9:00 am.

  • Student ministry is meeting in person on Wednesday nights at 6:45 pm.

We encourage every attendee to follow the direction that we have all received by government and healthcare experts. We suggest the following:

  • Please do not attend if you have any symptoms related to COVID-19 exposure (elevated temperature, trouble breathing, cough, absence of taste and smell). In addition, do not attend if you have been exposed to anyone that has been or might have been exposed in the last 14 days.

  • Seating in the Worship Center has be positioned for social distancing, a minimum of six feet of separation is our goal. As you enter the Worship Center, you will be given cards to place in seats near you to block them from others seating too close for comfort.

  • Masks have become part of our societal norm and are the best practice for protecting yourself and others. Out of respect for one another, we ask attendees to wear masks; however, we will not enforce a mask-wearing policy. Volunteers such as greeters and tech team will be required to wear them. The praise team and other select leaders who are unable to perform their task will not wear them on stage but will wear them when not on stage. Unfortunately, we cannot provide everyone masks, so we ask you to bring your own.

  • Hand sanitizer stations have been installed and bottles have been placed in various locations. We encourage you to use them as necessary. (Feel free to bring your own as well.) We ask you to monitor the use of the stations by children to avoid waste. Washing hands after coughing, sneezing, or using the restroom is expected.

ALL VOLUNTEERS

We are thankful for everyone on the front lines who will be part of creating a safe and healthy environment for attenders. It is our responsibility to ensure volunteers are ready and equipped to serve. Anyone serving in a volunteer role (greeters, tech team, etc.) will be screened prior to serving. Screening includes answering a series of health-related questions and taking digital temperatures prior to serving.

GREETING

Greeters are on the front line to ensure your safety and that our procedures are implemented for your protection. All members of the Greeter team are screened and wearing masks and strive to maintain a minimum of six feet from all attenders. Unfortunately, greeters are not giving handshakes, hugs, or fist bumps. Greeters are focused on welcoming, directing, seating, and escorting to provide the best welcome they can.

SEATING

We simply ask that you keep three seats between each family or seated group. As people arrive, our greeters provide cards to each group to place in the three seats adjacent to them to keep them blocked.

COMMON AREAS

The Commons gathering area is open. Coffee is not being served, so please bring your own.

RESTROOMS

Our restrooms are open, but they are not designed for social distancing. We ask that you use every other stall unless in an urgent situation. One sink at a time should be used. Paper towels may be used to wipe down handles upon completion. Please be respectful of those around you who might be more concerned with distancing and avoid overcrowding.

Restrooms are not monitored by volunteers for the sake of maximum privacy, so please self-police restroom usage.

CONGREGATIONAL SINGING

There are some debates about the impact of singing as it can contribute to excessing amounts of airborne saliva and its distance of spread. We are encouraging attendees to worship through singing; however, if you can do it while wearing a mask, please do so. The Praise Team does not wearing masks while leading.

LORD’S SUPPER

Our traditional method of serving the Lord’s Supper requires the transfer and handling of multiple trays. In order to transition from this method, we have implemented a new creative way of serving the Lord’s Supper that protects everyone involved.

GIVING

The giving boxes remain in the back of the Worship Center. Many of Anchor’s members have transitioned to online giving, and we recommend you continue to do so. You are welcome to give through mail or using your own envelope.

CLEANING

Our Janitorial crew has been such a blessing during this time. While the buildings have been used for limited purposes, cleaning needs have been fairly simple. However, now we clean very thoroughly each week.

ONLINE PLATFORM

We will continue to stream our live service online on our Facebook page. The service will be archived on the church website under Sermons.
