Martial Arts Track
Kids will get the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of Tang Soo Do, a Korean martial art similar to Karate. Some skills covered will include: stances, hand techniques, foot techniques, forms, and even foam weapons! This will improve balance, confidence, discipline, and coordination while having lots of fun. No karate uniform is required. However, please wear pants or shorts that you can freely move in. There will be high kicks, please no skirts.
Track Leader: Anna Kulp
Mrs. Anna Kulp started her training with HMA karate martial arts program in October of 2013. During this time she showed a willingness to achieve and lead. She earned her first degree black belt in April 2016. She earned the title of Jyo Kyo Nim (assistant instructor) in 2018 along with her second degree black belt. She became a Kyo Sa Nim (instructor) in July of 2021. In May of 2022 she received her third degree black belt. Since then, she has become the head instructor for one of the two locations HMA karate worked through and will test for her 4th degree black belt in September of this year, where she will earn the title of Sa Bom Nim (Master instructor). She has been teaching children's classes, teenage classes, adult classes for years.
